AI Sketch Bot Activation for a Healthcare Trade Show in Orlando
Esteem Photo Booth Rentals designed and ran an AI robotic Sketch Bot activation for RLDatix, with three drawing arms and a branded photo kiosk that pulled healthcare marketers into its booth at the Healthcare Internet Conference in Orlando. Guests typed in their Halloween costume, watched a robot draw them as that character on RLDatix cardstock, and left with a printed and digital copy. The team told us they hit their badge scan goal.

What did RLDatix want out of its trade show booth at the Healthcare Internet Conference?
RLDatix builds software that helps healthcare organizations grow, and its booth carried one line across the back wall. Real customers. Real growth. HCIC is a trade show made for healthcare marketers, so the floor was packed with agencies and tech companies all chasing the same people walking the aisles.
The goal was more stops at the booth and more badge scans from those stops. The team told us they didn't know what to expect going in. They wanted something that would draw a crowd, and since the show landed the same week as Halloween, we pitched a Sketch Bot with a costume prompt.
The choice also came from inside the company. RLDatix is pushing hard into AI, so the team wanted an AI activation at its trade show booth that matched that direction. An AI trade show activation let guests see AI at work in a way that was fun and easy to understand, right next to the RLDatix name. The Sketch Bot turns each guest's photo and costume idea into an AI drawing, then a robot arm draws it live, so the tech is on full display.

What did trade show guests take home from the Sketch Bot?
Each guest stepped up to the photo kiosk, snapped a photo, and typed in what they wanted to be for Halloween. One of three arms on our Sketch Bot photo booth then drew them as that character, live, on a card with the RLDatix logo and tagline printed along the bottom. We drew witches, fairy princesses, mermaids, vampires, and an astronaut carrying a trick or treat bucket. The kiosk also sent every guest a branded digital copy by text, email, or QR code.
That combo mattered more than we expected. Nearly every other table on the floor was handing out candy, snacks, ice cream, or the usual branded swag. Most people at HCIC hit several trade shows a year, and by the time they pack for the flight home, the pens and stress balls stay in the hotel room. A drawing of yourself as a vampire makes it into the suitcase.
If you're planning a trade show booth, here's what we'd copy from this one. Tie the prompt to something happening that week. Asking guests what they'd be for Halloween gave everyone an easy answer and a reason to hang around and talk to the RLDatix team while the arm drew. Then print the brand on the keepsake itself, so the logo travels wherever the card ends up.

What kept the line moving at RLDatix's booth?
Parents. A lot of guests asked if we could add their kids to the drawing so they'd have something to bring home. Then people started pulling out their phones and FaceTiming their kids, spouses, and families so they could watch the robot draw live. We didn't see that coming, and it happened over and over.
The reaction spread past the booth. People from competing companies stopped by and called it the best activation on the trade show floor, and some asked if they could get cards too. A few exhibitors asked our team if we could build all of their trade show activations going forward. The RLDatix team started sending people our way themselves, telling other exhibitors we could handle the whole thing from setup to breakdown.
What's our takeaway from RLDatix's trade show activation?
Nobody remembers the snack a booth gave them three days later. They remember the card they showed their family, posted online, and set on their desk at work where coworkers walk by and ask what it is. For the next trade show, we'd bring the same formula. A personal keepsake with the client's brand on it, tied to a prompt that fits the week.
Who should book a Sketch Bot for their trade show booth?
Any exhibitor fighting for attention on a crowded floor. If your team is judged on booth stops, badge scans, or conversations with the right people, this is built for you. It works best for brands that want guests to stay a few minutes and talk while the arm draws, and for teams that want their logo to leave the show in someone's bag.
Why book Esteem Photo Booth Rentals for it?
We handle the whole activation, from the prompt idea to the branded cardstock, digital delivery, setup, staffing, and breakdown. Your team just shows up and talks to guests. We run 20+ booths and travel nationwide, so the same setup that worked for RLDatix can show up at your next conference, wherever it is. At HCIC, exhibitors from competing booths walked over to ask if we could run their activations too. That's the kind of attention we want to bring to your booth.
The Sketch Bot is one of several AI activations we bring to trade shows and conferences. If a drawing isn't the right fit for your booth, our AI photo booth can turn guests into custom AI art built around your brand or theme.
