Hard Rock Bet turned a 360 video booth from Esteem Photo Booth Rentals into an app signup machine at its Halloween activation in Fort Lauderdale. What did Hard Rock Bet want out of its Halloween celebration?

Hard Rock Bet is Hard Rock's sports betting and online casino app, and for its Halloween party at the Guitar Hotel the team had two goals. The first was brand presence, with Hard Rock Bet showing up in every piece of content guests made that night. The second was app registrations.

We built the branded 360 platform in house and set up several Halloween overlays guests could pick from before each spin. Almost everyone came in costume, which gave every clip something worth posting.

What did a 360 video booth do for Hard Rock Bet's Halloween activation goals?

The 360 video booth rental became the reason to sign up. To get a turn, guests registered for the Hard Rock Bet app, and our brand ambassadors handled that step right at the line. Hard Rock's team didn't have to pull their own people off the floor to chase registrations.

Platform size mattered too. Ours holds up to five guests, so groups in matching costumes stepped on together instead of splitting up. That's how 200 videos turned into 600 participants, roughly three people per clip, and every one of them registered.

If you're planning an activation with a signup goal, put the registration step at the booth line and staff it. Guests sign up while they wait for their turn, so the ask feels like part of the experience instead of a hurdle. A group platform helps for the same reason, since the line moves faster when five people step on at once.

What kept the line moving at Hard Rock Bet's booth?

Costumes did a lot of the work. Groups who dressed as a set wanted a video together, and the five person platform meant nobody got cut out of the shot. Choosing between overlays gave each group something to talk about while they waited, and our ambassadors used that time to get everyone registered before their spin.

What's our takeaway from Hard Rock Bet's event?

A booth works as a marketing tool when the experience is worth the trade. Guests gave Hard Rock Bet their registration because a costume video on a branded 360 platform was something they actually wanted. The team liked the results enough to look through our catalog and book a glam photo booth activation for New Year's, a different experience from the same crew.
